Overeducated Painters started off in the 2001 recession, innocently enough with the simple question to the founder Albert McDonald "Do you know of any good painters?" He could not think of one and told his friend, "I have always painted, let me do it." After having done the job by himelf and getting rave reviews from his friends, he decided to do this temporarily till the economy got better. Drawing on his marketing and product development background , he sat down to create a name that would tell a story about the company in two words. Uppon telling the name to his friends, they laughed. They thought it was perfect. Overeducated Painters was born. At this time his friends were temporarily unemployed, had home improvement and artistic backgrounds. The perfect work force. Over time his friends were able to get back into the corporate world. But for Albert - Overeducated Painters had become it's own entity. Something special that people wanted.
